Terms of Service

Your agreement with Quill, Inc.

These Terms govern your use of EssayArc, operated by Quill, Inc. under the Granderson Writing Academy name. By affirmatively accepting them, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Notice. If you do not agree, you may use the available account export, support, sign-out and closure options. Accounts and authority

Provide accurate account details, protect your credentials and use only accounts you are authorized to access. You must have legal capacity to enter this agreement or the appropriate authorization of a parent, guardian or institution. Schools and organizations are responsible for obtaining any required permissions and establishing their authority before arranging learner use. A checkbox does not replace those responsibilities.

Writing, ownership and permitted processing

You retain your rights in the content you submit. You give Quill, Inc. the limited permission needed to store, process, display, back up and transmit that content to provide the features you request and operate the service, including selected AI processing and sharing. You must have the right to submit and share the material. You are responsible for your writing choices, factual claims, citations and compliance with your school’s academic-integrity rules.

EssayArc is a learning and coaching tool. Do not submit another person’s work or AI-generated material as your own unaided work. Follow any required disclosure rules. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete or inappropriate; review it before using it. EssayArc does not guarantee grades, admission, mastery, publication or any particular educational outcome.

Acceptable use and sharing

Do not access another person’s private records, impersonate others, harass people, upload unlawful material, distribute malicious code, bypass access controls, forge assessments or billing state, or interfere with the service. Use community and messaging features respectfully and only with appropriate rights and permissions.

Sharing controls govern access within EssayArc. Revoking a share cannot retrieve copies that someone already downloaded or received. A recipient link may be usable by anyone who receives it. Institution-sponsored access may also be subject to the institution’s rules and agreements.

Paid plans and third parties

If you buy a plan, review the price, renewal schedule and terms presented at checkout. Stripe administers configured payments and subscriptions. Manage the subscription through billing or contact support; closing the EssayArc account does not itself cancel it. Questions about refunds or billing should be directed to support and are subject to applicable rights and the terms of the purchase.

Third-party AI, sign-in, payment, email and linked services have their own terms. Their availability can change. You are not required by these Terms to turn on every optional AI or sharing feature.

Availability, suspension and closure

Features may change, become unavailable or require maintenance. Keep copies of important work using export or your own saved documents. We may restrict access for misuse, security concerns or other justified operational or legal reasons. Contact support if you believe a restriction is incorrect.

You can request account closure. Linked application records are removed as described in the Privacy Notice; institutional obligations, shared workspaces, billing, security records, backups and provider copies may require separate handling. Applicable statutory rights remain unaffected.

Updates and contact

Revised Terms receive a new version and are presented for affirmative acceptance before continued application use. We preserve the text associated with agreement records. Contact Quill, Inc. at hello@essayarc.com or through Help for support, privacy requests or questions about these Terms.
